Jaclyn Chadbourne, MA, CES
Research and Development Principal
Since 2003, Jaclyn has been employed within the allied health profession as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist. She received her bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College of Maine and her master’s degree from Adelphi University in Clinical Exercise Physiology. She was awarded a doctoral assistantship at Virginia Polytechnic Institute in the department of Human Nutrition, Food and Exercise in 2005. Prior to initiating her own doctoral research, she was a full-time visiting instructor at the University of New England in the Applied Exercise Science Department. For three years she served as the Lead Clinical Exercise Physiologist for Maine Medical Center’s Turning Point Heart Health Program.
With a passion for sustainable healthy living and a desire to support patient-centered care, she transitioned to the UMedGym South Portland facility to assist in the development of community resources for all special populations. Along with Chris, she became co-owner of the facility in 2012 and is currently responsible for research and development and creating predictive modeling for the UMedGym technology platform. Jaclyn enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 children and 2 dogs at their home in New Gloucester, Maine.
Erin Cannon, Certified Health and Wellness Coach
Director of Operations
Erin received her B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Southern Maine in May 2010 where she also minored in Holistic Health. She recently received her Certification in Health and Wellness Coaching through Real Balance Global Wellness Services and is officially certified as the UMedGym Health Coach. She is eager to begin working with members in all aspects of their lives and help them overcome barriers to reaching their unlimited potential. Erin’s outgoing personality and attention to detail make her an incredible asset to the our staff and members. As Director of Operations, she sustains an exceptional level of service every day for anyone interacting with UMedGym. Erin was instrumental in the success of the 2012 Annual Saco Bay 5K fundraising efforts for Maine’s breast cancer organization. Health and wellness has always been a natural passion of hers and she continues to stay active in her own life through cycling, hiking, running, and strength training at UMedGym.

Haley Vail, B.S.
Manager Member Care
Haley attended Syracuse University where she received her B.S. in Nutrition in 2011. During her four years there she participated in several programs on campus including The Nutrition Education and Promotion Association and Orangewrap, a nutrition outreach program. In fall of 2012, Haley’s role at UMedGym. began as a freelance writer for our blog and quickly transitioned to a full time position as Member Care Coordinator in winter of 2013. In her current position of Member Care Manager, Haley provides excellent customer service and ensures that day-to-day activities run smoothly. She plays a significant role in organizing the specialized programs and assisting clients on a daily basis. Haley is also responsible for assisting in Corprate Program Management and serving as a liason to physician groups and employers. Haley's inherent passion and drive for our vision quickly made her an incredible asset to the team. Haley incorporates wellness into her own life by eating well and living an active lifestyle through strength training, running and biking.
Adam Hanrahan, L-ATC
Manager Clinical Programs
Adam graduated from the Sports Medicine program at the University of Southern Maine in 2008. Adam is a nationally Certified Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification. He started working per diem with UMedGym's employee wellness programs in 2012 and joined our staff full time in March 2013. Adam does initial evaluations and works with members on their strength and conditioning programs. Prior to joining us, Adam worked side by side with Chris Pribish designing and implementing orthopedic rehabilitation programs for Saco Bay Physical Therapy Outpatient clinics. Adam's ability to manage a team and guide through effective leadership has created tremendous opportunities for growth. With his oversight, Adam and 2 other staff members developed UMedGym's proprietary Movement Disorder Evaluation that is now utilized at all of our facilities. He is an indespendable asset to our team.
Matt Marcoux, L-ATC, CSCS
Clinical Exercise Assistant
Matthew Marcoux is a Certified Athletic Trainer who graduated Cum Laude from the University of New England in 2013. Matt has an additional background in environmental physiology. In 2012, he and two other colleagues conducted an altitude research project in Colorado at an elevation of 11,000 feet. This study was presented at the 2013 American College of Sports Medicine Student Conference. Shortly after, Matt started an Internship at UMedGym, which lasted for his entire senior year and volunteered additional hours beyond those required just so he could gain more experience. In May of 2013, Matt was hired to work full time at our facility and has never looked back. In Matt’s free time he works for a men’s juniors ice hockey team, the Maine Wild, working as their head athletic trainer. Matt is inherently motivated to provide evidenced based programming for all populations and has positively impacted many lives of our members. He was instrumental in developing the proprietary Movement Program Evaluation along with Adam and Michelle.
Teryn Clark, L-ATC, CSCS
Clinical Exercise Assistant & Movement Disorder Program Coordinator
Teryn graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2008 with a BS in Sports Science concentrating in Athletic Training. She got her license for Athletic Training in 2010. Teryn started her career in physical therapy that focused on Pilates and yoga rehabilitation and was creating home exercise programs and teaching exercise classes. While working in physical therapy she also worked for multiple schools in the area serving as medical coverage for the schools home athletic events. You can currently find Teryn on the sidelines at the home of Poland Regional High School. Teryn was recently hired by UMedGym in October 2014 as a Clinical Exercise Instructor for our Movement Group Program and has developed our “Teryn it Up” strength training class. Her hope is to continue learning how to evaluate new members and to teach more classes as we grow.
